30 August 2012: Extreme Sports Channel, the world’s first TV channel dedicated to the action sports lifestyle, announced today that it will be premiering high-speed racing series, Project176.
The 12x30” series, an original and exclusive commission for ESC in Poland, will be broadcast in September.
Created by rally driver, Andi Mancin, and offering a mind-blowing combination of thrill-seeking activities, the hair-raising series will feature some of Poland’s biggest sporting champions as they take on unusual challenges with no boundaries. From speedboats to helicopters and go-karts to Ferraris, the unique series will offer a wide range of daredevil sports for all audiences.
With well-known Polish team members including F1 Powerboat victor, BartÅ‚omiej MarszaÅ‚ek, freestyle skier Staszek Karpiel-BuÅ‚ecka and stunt artist Piotr Kaban Piotrowski, the events are guaranteed to get hearts racing and put Poland on the map as a truly daring nation.
Creator and rally driver, Andi Mancin, reveals: “I have always dreamt of producing a programme like Project176. Racing in Rally America and performing at The X Games inspired me to make the series because American sport is so different from the European approach. It’s more relaxed in America, but at the same time very spectacular. I hope that through Project176 we can give the Polish audience a unique look at extreme sports”.
Following the recent commission of Silent Revolution, charting the ups and downs of the European BMX season, the launch of Project176 on Extreme Sports Channel adds to the eclectic mix of bold sporting documentaries on the channel.
